Announcing SquaredUp 5.2
SquaredUp 5.2 is now available! This update brings you enhancements to the PowerShell tile, new Splunk visualizations, various security improvements, and excitingly, a brand new Dashboard Gallery and OpenSource GitHub Samples repository. Keep reading to find out more.
PowerShell tile enhancements
Since the introduction of the PowerShell tile in SquaredUp version 5.1, it has proved to be the most popular Connect tile. Therefore, we have decided to enhance support for PowerShell data visualization to provide script execution controls and security configuration!
- Improved security: Use your own “Run As” accounts
- Reduce the load on your external data: Configure script execution intervals
- Supports any PowerShell versions: Choose between .NET Framework and .NET Core
- Better execution robustness: All scripts now run inside their own child process
To see the PowerShell tile in action, watch our webinar 'Dashboarding Enterprise IT Tools with PowerShell'.
New visualizations for Splunk
We have also added four new visualizations to the Splunk tile. It now includes the full range of visualizations: Bar Graph, Donut, Line Graph, Scalar, Sparklines, Grid, Status Icons, and Blocks.
Security improvements
Following our regular independent security review and penetration test, we have made several security improvements to this release.

Dashboard Gallery and Public GitHub samples repository
Lastly, we heard our users asking for examples of dashboards and scripts – so we’ve created a brand new Dashboard Gallery, plus a public GitHub Samples repository!
The Dashboard Gallery consists of a series of real-life dashboards created by our users. Each dashboard is accompanied by a handy write-up explaining its key use case. There will also be some dashboard JSON files available to download!
The GitHub repository contains sample dashboards and scripts that you can take and make your own, and it is now available and accessible from within the SquaredUp application.
Have a browse for dashboard ideas and various scripts to help you get the most out of SquaredUp. The repository is open to contributions from the community, so be sure to take a look at the growing list of samples – from SolarWinds and Log Analytics dashboards to purpose-built SQL and PowerShell scripts – and also contribute your own creations!
