Introducing Dashboard Server 6.5

Dashboard Server 6.5 is now available to download! Among other updates, you can now select your own custom branding – including your own home navigation logo, login dialog logo, and login background image.

We're also excited to share a teaser of the 2025 Dashboard Server roadmap. Find it at the bottom of this article.

Dashboard Server 6.5 updates include:

• New custom branding
• Dashboard loading skeletons and related improvements
• Improvements to the Grid Tile
• Customer subdomain support for Cloud Tile integration

Play Release webinar: Dashboard Server 6.5

New custom branding

Driven by customer requests, we have now made it possible to customize the login background image, home navigation logo and login dialog logo. Change it to your own company logo, or a client's logo, to make dashboards ideal for sharing with leadership. Available in EAM tier and above.

Skeletons

Another feature we've introduced to create a smoother experience is dashboard loading skeletons. With this new feature, instead of being faced with a blank screen, there are placeholder graphics and sections that give the page structure as it loads. These are eventually populated with the actual charts when your dashboard is fully loaded.

Grid tile improvements

To improve the Grid tile user experience, we've introduced conditional formatting and the ability to specify, on a column by column basis, the type of data and appropriate units. Watch the demo to see examples of applicable use cases.

Other small but mighty improvements

• Sub-domain support for SquaredUp Cloud integration
• VADA support for Windows 2025 servers (MP update)
• Format axis number on line graph to remove decimal points

2025 roadmap

Dashboard Server 7.0

Looking ahead, we are excited to announce that we've got a large release coming up in August 2025 – Dashboard Server 7.0. Here are some improvements you can expect:

• Major UX update – Modernise the look and feel
• VMware integration
• High Availability rewrite
• VADA full screen mode
• Tile editor focus / fullscreen mode

Dashboard Server 7.1 has also been penciled in for Nov 2025. Stay tuned for more updates!
